Welcome to this week’s edition of my Benevolent Outcomes Blog, and welcome to everyone who subscribed in the past week. This Blog is for people just discovering how to use a very simple, yet powerful and effective spiritual tool you can use every day the rest of your life. It will lessen the stress and fear of life in general, and will make your life easier. It’s so simple a lot of people say “It can’t be this easy,” but it is, because IT WORKS! This reconnects you with your Guardian Angel, or higher power, or whatever your belief is. You simply say, “I request a Most Benevolent Outcome for…….., thank you!” When you read the stories below, sent from all over the world, we use the acronym MBO for Most Benevolent Outcomes, GA for Guardian Angel, and BP for Benevolent Prayers (what you ask for other people).

I have the women in the office where I live using MBO’s and they are just beaming since they’re having really positive results. Yesterday when I went by, I didn’t mention it but they did and enthusiastically said, IT WORKS!”. Thank You, Tom.

REQUEST FOR A BENEVOLENT PRAYER

Randy writes: My older son Benjamin has inoperable brain cancer and he had a seizure last night. He wasn’t coming out of it very well and I asked for a benevolent prayer for him visualizing his body being surrounded by white light and he became cognizant with 5 minutes of that prayer.

I ask anybody that would like to ask for a Benevolent Prayer for my son, please do!

If you’re new to these blogs, Benevolent Prayers (BP’s) are what you say for other people, while requesting Most Benevolent Outcomes (MBO’s) are specifically for you. So let’s all say OUT LOUD right now this BP for Randy’s son Benjamin:

“I ask any and all beings to aid, comfort and bring healing energy to Benjamin in the most benevolent way, and assist his parents in finding the best treatments for his condition, thank you!”

QUESTION ON BENEVOLENT PRAYERS

Sandra writes: I would like to suggest that when requesting MBO’s, you use the words “any and all spiritual beings.” Just saying “any and all beings” could include some not so beneficial entities. Thanks for all you do!

For Sandra and anyone who has this question, we don’t want to limit the prayer to just “spiritual beings.” As an example, if we say a BP for aid to come to people trapped in an earthquake, that aid might come from a search dog, cat, child, bird, men and women searching the wreckage, and yes, a GA that manifests physically to render aid. My GA Theo has said when you say this prayer only beings “from the light” will respond.

MBO AT GROCERY STORE

Recently I was asked to take part in a forum on Benevolent Outcomes at http://www.stevepavlina.com. They don’t use their real names, so here is one that Sunny Days writes from Germany: I had a funny experience today with a MBO, which showed me you have to be very precise.

Went for grocery shopping and when I was done I saw the long lines and I went into one even though I was third in that line, guy No 1 had loads and loads of groceries so I requested a MBO for another cashier to open …About 2 mins later just when I started to put my groceries on the belt I heard a lady saying, come over here , I will open this cashier. My MBO was answered in no time but I should have added : …another cashier to open so I can be first in line and can get out quickly.

Here you go, be precise.

“Angel Psychic” responded: Yes that’s such a good example of being exact when requesting MBO’s. I think doing MBO’s while we’re shopping is a great way to have small miracles happen on a daily basis. I’ve have dozens of amazing things happen in stores, just recently I had been looking for sunglasses in very nice stores and had planned to pay at least $25 or more for them (which is not a lot but I don’t like to spend too much) anyhow, I did an MBO before I went into a 99 cent store all I said was ” I request the most benevolent outcome to have a great time in this store and may this outcome be even better than I could hope for or expect” and as soon as I walked in I was “drawn” to the sunglasses and found a really nice pair for 99 cents…. I couldn’t believe it, since I know these stores have sort of very shabby sunglasses, well I bought them and so far they are as good as a very expensive pair as far as I can tell…and I’m very happy. I was so surprised by this find…it never happens with something like sunglasses….it’s fantastic how our guardian angels always seem to find just the right item, not only to make us happy but to kind of make your jaw drop at the same time.

WHEN MBO’S DON’T SEEM TO WORK

This is another post on the forum from Maraislanuit: This might be a silly question, but what does it mean when you ask for something that goes so far from working out? I really enjoyed working with my therapist and I made sure to ask for continued work (and money to afford her) in an MBO…and she dumped me this morning. Disheartening all across the board.

Angel Psychic replied as well or better than I might have: When you asked for the most benevolent outcome about your therapist, and then got dumped, that’s probably the best outcome, even though at this time it does not look like it. You might do better either without a therapist or perhaps you need to look into a different one.

This sometimes happens when people ask for the most benevolent outcome in the form of an MBO at their present job…and then suddenly get fired…lol.

It may seem like a disaster at first, but perhaps your guardian angel is trying to create circumstances that will push you a little to take some sort of action for something new… which in turn would be best for you, even though you don’t see it. Always trust that everything will work out for the best when you ask for an MBO…. your guardian angel really does wish you to have the best in life, so keep the faith!

I just thought of something else, since at this time you trust your guardian angel and you know they wish the best for you, the next thing would be to do some MBO’s such as:

“I request the most benevolent outcome to have a new therapist come to me that will be 100 times better than my last one, and I request this outcome to be even better than I could hope for or expect….thank you”

(I would also do MBO’s for the solution to your problem that you had gone to a therapist to resolve in the first place, for example, if you were depressed and went to the therapist for that, you could do all sorts of MBO’s to have your guardian angel resolve your depression for you, if you have trouble wording your MBO properly for your specific problem, just ask me and I’ll help you. Using several different MBO’s for your problem from all different angles could help you get rid of your problem very quickly and probably save you a lot of money too!)

MBO’S ON ANOTHER FORUM

Bobby on Facebook sent me this message: Tom: I request Most Benevolent Outcomes ( MBOs) daily for various purposes, including activation of my chakras. Requesting MBOs really helped me solve some of my problems and those of some people I helped with and achieving certain goals. Again, Tom thanks a lot for this technique and I’m grateful for that Xtrememind forum thread on the Gentle Way authored by member Pleiadian Healer where I first learned of MBOs.

Seems the word keeps spreading as more and more people recognize what a simple, yet powerful spiritual tool requesting MBO’s is. Just amazing.

MBO FOR FINDING LOST COURSE NAME

David writes: I am new to your newsletter. I signed on last Saturday, and after looking at your latest channeling I began looking around, checking into your archives. I believe in angels and can think of no better knowledge to have than to learn to use that which has been given. I’d like to thank you for your kindness. Just last night my wife was becoming frustrated looking for the exact name of the last continuing education course she took ( about a year ago ). She needed the exact wording I order to obtain credit from her employer. Anyway, she couldn’t find it and I suggested your approach to a simple MBO request. She followed my lead, and voila’… Within two to three minutes there it was! How cool is that?

It must be rewarding to be able to share this kind of information with others. I also believe in the power of common prayer, and with the collective efforts of many, even if we cannot always see it right away, there has to be a resulting benefit (e.g. wherever two or more gather in His name).

I understand that you have people from all over this planet interested in your work, subscribing to your newsletter. I can’t help but wonder if, as a matter of individual convenience, coupled with the idea of increasing the power behind the intent, if you might consider designating two (or maybe even several ) specific times for people to be able to offer your GP’s together.

I AM certain there is a shift in consciousness underway on Earth and now might be the right time to pursue transmitting this kind of collective thinking.

My Guardian Angel Theo says that due to the great differences in time around the world, saying Benevolent Prayers that I suggest here in the Blog and newsletter act in a crescendo where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Here are a couple of others to say that were in this week’s newsletter:

This is for a missing child kidnapped by the boyfriend of the child’s mother. Let’s say a Benevolent Prayer out loud for Juliani:

“I ask any and all beings to keep safe and come to the aid and assistance of Juliani Cardinas to bring this child back to his family, thank you!”

Remember, you can make a difference! Let’s add another Benevolent Prayer right here.

“I ask any and all beings to assist in bringing a peaceful change in governments to Egypt, Lebanon, and Tunisia, thank you!”

MBO REQUEST FROM AUSTRALIA

Erika in Australia writes: I said that Benevolent Prayer as I was writing it for your newsletter last week and I have to say it really worked for me; this newsletter is the best I have read and enjoyed ever so even if I only gain the MBO it was worth sharing it.

This made me wonder after I read the MBO I wrote and read in the newsletter about how we can affect the world with these that another one for your newsletter could be:

“I request a Most Benevolent Outcome for Tom’s newsletters and blogs to have the Most Benevolent Outcome for all that is shared and for all that read them resulting in Many Most Benevolent Outcomes for the whole world!”

STUCK IN DEEP SNOW MBO

Kathy writes: I have to share where I prayed for a MBO when my husband called and said he was going to pick me up late because he was stuck in the deep snow. I prayed right after the call and within ten minutes he was unstuck.

I saw where he was stuck and there is no way he could of got out of there without help. God is so great and gives us so much help . I feel closer to God when this happens because I get it. Thank you Tom for letting us know about this prayer and using your gift for the greater good. It has helped me and all my loved ones.

REPAIRING A RIFT

I’ve included this for anyone in a similar situation where you are not on speaking terms with someone in your family.

Joy writes: I realize I should be able to work this out myself by using the request for a Most Benevolent Outcome. However, I guess I’m just not very patient…

I had a serious misunderstanding with my daughter which involved my granddaughter, and at that time my daughter texted to me that we should not talk to each other for while. She still is not talking to me at this point and it’s been almost two months. The situation being that the two of them, my daughter sent me a text picture of my granddaughter, which was very frightening to me and I over reacted. I’ve sent e-mails and cards to her with no response.

My question is, should I continue to let this go and just wait for her to contact me? Or should I attempt to contact her. I feel so unhappy that this situation has driven such a large wedge between us. I’m heart-sick over it. I would so appreciate it if you could help me get this situation as soon as possible.

If you do contact her, say, “I request a Most Benevolent Outcome for my telephone call and that the results will be even better than you can hope for or expect, thank you!” And send her lots of love and white light and pink light!

I cannot advise you whether to contact her or not. Let your feelings guide you. Perhaps a few days of sending light before you do.

If you’ve never sent anyone light before, I can assure you it works. Imagine sending white and then pink light from your heart to the person or persons you wish to send love to. Imagine it completely surrounding them.

If you have been angry with someone, this does a lot of good for you. Many years ago I had a competitor in business that was so nasty that I said, “Someone’s going to shoot that guy.” On a trip to Mexico he was attacked by bandits and was shot and barely escaped with his life. I was afraid my thoughts contributed, so I started sending him white light. I was glad I did, as his wife hired a hitman who shot and killed her husband. At least I didn’t have it on my conscience.

NEW EDUCATIONAL PATH

Luzmarie writes: I have read your book and have taught my 7 year old son, Daniel, how to ask for Most Benevolent Outcomes. I have also shared your book with my friends– even the skeptics.

I need your advice. I am a teacher of twenty years and have decided to apply to an Educational Diagnostician program within my school district. I would have to quit teaching, but if I were accepted, I would get paid as a teacher while I finish the program (two years). With all of the educational budget cuts, I worry that the program may be cut midstream and I will not have any employment. I am a single parent and cannot afford to be out of work.

My question is this: How should I word my request for a Most Benevolent Outcome? From what Theo has said, angels cannot “tell you what to do nor can they make decisions for you”, but I really DO want my angel to help me decide whether to take the leap or not.

Please help me and/or ask Theo what I should say in my request. I thought maybe it should sound something like, ” I request a Most Benevolent outcome that I will be accepted into this program only if I will be allowed to complete it and will make more money in order to provide financial stability for my son,…” Would that be right? I want to make sure I say it correctly.

By the way, sometimes I say, ” I request a most benevolent outcome” just so I know my angel is listening, then I just say, ” that I become closer to you and feel your presence in my life. I want to thank you for always being there for me. I love you, Thank you.”

I think her MBO request was as good or better than the one I was thinking of, which is, “I request a Most Benevolent Outcome for being accepted in this educational program if this is the most benevolent path for me, thank you!”

I also like her other MBO request. You should get a “comfy” feeling when you say that.

MBO FOR HANDBAG

Lois writes: I have been experiencing a difficult time lately where money is concerned. It has not been this “lean” for over twenty years, and I see so many other entrepreneurs experiencing this as well that I know it is not just me.

Last Saturday I felt I really needed a new purse that was a neutral color and the right size – big enough to hold my stuff, but small enough not to hurt my back by weighing me down on one side. It needed a strap or handle long enough for me to put over one shoulder, so I can carry things in my hands while also carrying the purse. I asked for an MBO to find a beautiful purse with all the features I needed for under $25.00, and went into a favorite discount designer store to find it. I was in the parking lot when I asked for the MBO. I did not find the purse, so I left the store and forgot all about it.

The next day I was running errands prior to meeting a friend. It hit me that I should browse a different designer discount store while killing time waiting for our meeting time. I usually do not go into that store. When I went in, the purses were really picked-over. There were not many there. I looked anyway. What I found blew me away. There were two identical, gorgeous, well-known designer’s bags of the perfect size in a neutral color with a strap. They had all the features I had asked for. The price was under $25.00 including the tax. I am still in awe. I have never seen a leather bag by this designer under $70.00 in any discount store. I bought one of the bags and every time I look at my miracle bag, I am reminded that miracles can and do happen.

While this may sound like a small event in the grand scheme of things, it is a huge reminder I will carry with me daily that miracles are possible even when we are not expecting them!

And I have been in business for a LONG time and the last two years were the worst in the 27 years I’ve been doing international film and TV program distribution, but I am seeing definite signs of recovery, including the largest sale we made last week in over two years. So keep requesting MBO’s folks in your business and work!

ALMOST A DISASTER

Renee writes: Once again, I’m being “nudged” to share with you another MBO experience I had in the first week of November this year. I was on my way home to Lake Tahoe from a weekend visiting a friend who lives in the foothills of Northern California a couple of hours from Lake Tahoe. And since I had bad tires, I was doing MBO’s the whole trip to and from. (As you are aware, I had a similar experience back in October 2008 with the first snows going over a mountain pass to Reno. This story is also in your second book. And incidentally, I still had the same tires on my car. You would think I learned my lesson then, but have not been able to afford new tires until now. An early Christmas present from my husband.)

Well, I had good weather on the trip going there, but was not as fortunate on the way home. The previous night it poured down rain and it continued until I started my journey home the next morning. (I also knew I was going to have to face snow conditions going over Donner Summit.)

It was in my first hour into the trip that I was following a motor home with a few cars behind me when the opportunity came to a passing lane on a hill that ended with a sharp left turn. The section of road that I was on was damp but no rain and no standing water on it. I accelerated to pass the motor home and the car that was behind me was right on my tail to pass me, but the lane ended suddenly and I braked for preparation to make the turn and completely lost control. I went into a skid in the oncoming lane about to go over an embankment at the same time turning the wheel in hopes to avoid that rollover and found myself doing a 180 heading in the opposite direction. The next thing I knew I was sliding into the guard rail, which I missed only by inches, and only to find I was heading straight for the car that was behind me for a head-on collision, which he squeezed into the opposite lane just by a hair to avoid me. And then I was in the other lane going down the hill as the other motorists passed me by. I immediately pulled over and was so shaken by the experience that I knew then my GA was working overtime with divine intervention, which is the only reason how all of that could of happened with no incident — only we know (wink-wink).

Just think for instance, if another car was coming in the opposite direction at the same time. That would of been a big mess. Needless to say I did make it home safely through the snow over the summit.

So once again the radiant effect of saying MBOs was in action. Because no one or thing got hit in all of that. And you can imagine if I did not use MBOs, this could of been a fatal accident for any of us involved. Thank you, thank you, thank you to my GA and Tom for all the great work and getting this important teaching to the world.

GLASSES MBO

Majeece in Ireland on Facebook writes: I request a most benevolent outcome to find my glasses. Looked all over for them last night as I was going out, could not go, my husband took my 6 year old to see Kilfenora ceili band in Glor theatre. I really want to find them.

I assured her she would find them. She responded: Got the glasses. They were in stroller in back kitchen, looked in many times but did not find them until my husband came home and the first place he looked he put his hands on them.

I have now recommended that she request a MBO to never lose her glasses again. I did that after misplacing my glasses and even having to go back to a restaurant to retrieve them, and so far, so good.

BINGO MBO’S

Ron in Virginia writes: First of all I would like to tell you that I am very impressed with your website and Haven’t ordered your book yet but coming soon. I have been working with my MBO’s and having some success with some small things too. I have also been sharing your website with all of my friends and relatives too.

I am in charge of our bingo program here where I live in a senior living apartment building. One of the ladies that attends our bingo games weekly recently told me she was upset because she wasn’t winning any games. So last night I shared your story with her about your bingo success on that Alaskan cruise and she was excited. I also told her how to make a request to her angel for winning a game in our bingo. So she made her request before the games started and she won the very first game we played. She was so very excited and I could see the gleam in her eyes as she looked at me. I was so happy for her too. She is now very interested in learning more about MBO’s.

I also had another lady who over heard me talking about angels and she too asked if it would work for her too. I told her I am sure it will work. So I told her how to make her MBO and she too won a bingo game. None of these ladies had won games in a very long time so they were both very thankful and wanting to learn more. I told them both about your books and also told them again how to make their MBO’s.

I am so happy to be able to share this information and your books with everyone I know.

After I sent that message to Ron, he wrote again: Thanks Tom, just so happens I had this article with me last night too to show them after the bingo games. They were both very excited about this.

I do have a question for you. What if several people ask for help during a bingo game like this. Will all of them win or just a small amount of them?

I did read a very interesting article from you today about people being effected also who are next to a person who has asked for help. Does this also apply to people playing bingo. The reason I ask is one lady who was sitting next to the first lady who won bingo last night also won a game later too.

I am anxiously waiting for your book Tom and looking forward to learning more.

One of the rules of requesting MBO’s is that it must be Benevolent for everyone involved in the request. So winning every game would not be. But winning a game it showed each of those ladies that requesting MBO’s work, and hopefully they will start requesting MBO’s for all the other things going on in their lives. Notice how happy it made them. Can you imagine requesting MBO’s all the time what it will do?

Regarding the Radiant Effect, yes it very well might have happened. I covered this in last week’s blog. In my book I described how a young boy about 10 or so, sitting next to his dad, yelled BINGO right next to me. People probably thought he was my son, but he wasn’t and we split the $8,400 pot with his family.

LOVER IN AFGANISTAN

I’m changing her name for privacy so Norma writes: I am fairly new to your blog and MBO’s and I love reading the newsletter every week and practice my MBO’s and told friends/family about them. I have a question that I know may be difficult to answer, and I’m not good with getting out exactly what I want, so bare with me.

There is a very special man in my life that works overseas as a contractor (in Afghanistan). His purpose (for him) is to obtain a large financial goal. He says he loves me and if he were here we’d be together, but since he isn’t then he feels it wasn’t fair to me to wait on him (even though I was more than willing).

I understand he may have his own soul contract things to do over there as I have my own. I truly feel in my heart we are meant for one another and I yearn for that true deep love between us to come to fruition. What prayer can I say for this situation? I am a very spiritual woman, so I do have a deep understanding of things. I have days where I feel OK about he and I, and other days where I want to give up, but I’m afraid to. Guess you could say I’m very confused. I don’t know if it would be appropriate to ask if Theo could give me some insight.

Here’s what I suggested to Norma and for anyone else in this situation:

Why don’t you say this MBO–“I request a Most Benevolent Outcome for the PERFECT man for me, thank you!”

That way, if the two of you are meant to be together, it will happen, and if you’re supposed to meet someone else, then this allows your GA (Guardian Angel) to work to bring someone new into your life. Then just release and see what happens. It normally will not happen in a day, or week or month, but open yourself up to all possibilities.

MBO & MEDITATION QUESTIONS

Gisel writes: Some months ago my car broke down and I requested a MBO and took it to the mechanic. The results were awful, they had my car for 20 days and gave it back with the same malfunction and other bad things it didn’t have before taking it to the shop. Of course I did take my car to other mechanic, and requested again the MBO for the best result. I got my car in perfect conditions this time. I wondered why my first MBO did not have the desired effect. The answer I heard (or think I heard!) was that I had to learn something about this situation, of course I had to meditate on that. Am I hearing right? Have you heard the same from other people? I mean, do other people request and don’t get desired results, but later do? Maybe time isn’t right or we have to learn something?

Another question. I seem to have better insights when I’m doing something mechanical like washing dishes or driving or cleaning than when I’m meditating. Is this common? Or am I just hearing myself? 😉

Last one I swear: Can people have more than one GA? I sense two by my side, maybe my guides or my oversoul?

Jeannine writes: I have told I am very protected with lots of Angels, Guides, and Spirit Animals. If this is true how many Angels and Spirit animals are around me?

I think this answer is for both Jeannine and Gisel and perhaps everyone, as I’ve received a similar answer before.

My Guardian Angel Theo says (in meditation): She has several guides with two of them very prominent as they are from her soul cluster. The others are there to assist her in her daily work, but the two are there and on call shall we say 24 hours a day. They have been together with her physically in a large number of lives. That is why she feels their presence so easily.

Theo, Gisel asks why the repairs on her car did not work the first time, as she requested MBO’s, but did the second time?

Yes, the first time was on her soul contract to experience Tom for her learning. The MBO result was that she was able to take it to another mechanic who successfully took care or fixed the problem. Had she not requested the MBO, this would have been worse.

REQUESTING MBO’S FOR WEALTH?

AA writes: I have a question about money-related MBOs. Is it, uh, “kosher” to ask for wealth/abundance/prosperity-related MBOs, as opposed to those relating to paying the bills or for specific profits? I would have thought it would be, but MBOs are generally for “specific” things, and asking for “wealth” isn’t terribly specific.

In my business I ask for MBO’s all the time. Recently I was informed by my agent in Spain that a national TV station in Africa is trying to back out on an Agreement for 40 movies and TV series. I requested a MBO for the contract to go through. We’ll see how it comes out, but that’s just one example of many that I request–for a phone call or email to result in business. This week I sent out an email blast to 75 pages of email addresses around the world and requested a MBO to have better results than I can hope for or expect. As you see, those are “specific” MBO’s, but the results are profits.

LIFE IS BETTER NOW WITH MBO’S

There are a couple of stories about Helena in my The Gentle Way Book II, but here is her latest:

Helena from London writes: Happy New Year to you. I have made it my New Years Resolution to tell as many people about MBO’s and I am really promoting all your good work. I am also concentrating on requesting MBO’s for myself a lot more.

Now let me tell you what happened to me at Christmas, I spend Christmas with my sister and brother-in-law. Every year, Christmas day in the evening and Boxing Day, my nieces, nephews wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, friends etc etc, come around and we act silly playing games and things. We end up having a giggle and there is a lot of noise as you can imagine.

Well Tom, we play these silly games and we put 20p a game in or if we get over excited we play a £1 a game and guess what Tom, every time before we played the game I kept saying, “I request a MBO for winning this game.”

And guess what Tom–I won the games each time; it caused so much laughter. When I decided to stop playing, and I had already requested the MBO before pulling out, my winning number came up still.

It was hilarious, there was so much laughter in our house that evening. Wouldn’t it be nice if I could get a large win on the lottery!

Last night I went out to supper with a friend and I asked for an MBO for the 219 bus to come as quickly as possible to get me to my friends house and it turned up just like that (and this bus usually takes ages to arrive). I got to my friend’s house in no time.

I have told you about my work place, regarding the bitchy reception staff and the stress in the job. Well, as well as the the MBO’s that you suggested, which I have been doing daily, I have also been saying daily, “ I request an MBO for being safely protected from Emma, Sharron, Shirley and Jenny throughout this day and may the benefits be even more than I expect or can anticipate.”

And guess what Tom–I don’t seem to get picked on or moaned at as much as I did. And now they all seem to stay out the way, before they were always there moaning about something. And there used to be many tears!

Things are really getting better. One of the staff asked me why I was always so cheerful and grinning to myself? I told her about requesting MBO’s and asked her if she would like to read your book; she got all excited and asked me if it was like The Secret and I told her no, it was better!

Now she is reading your book and trying it out for herself. She will be passing your book on to another member of staff when she has finished. Bearing in mind Tom the above are two members of the reception staff that have not been that nice to me. Now things seem to be improving!

I am doing all kinds of MBO’s now, Because I just love doing them.

QUESTIONS ON THE FIRST BOOK

Sue writes: Just finished reading “The Gentle Way”. So Gentle! So Simple! I am surely heart felt impressed with the book. I did start practicing with BO’s and MBO’s when I first was introduced to your newsletter and web site. My whole body feels as though it is filled with butterflies! Love it.

So, question regarding attempting to know the “name” of your Guardian Angel – meditation? Should one know the name? Could it be a Guide instead? Just a few questions.

The gambling chapter was interesting. I, like you, have had this presumption that I would have to do physical labor for my monies, for my prosperity. But, if there’s Magic in the ethers, Magic with your Guardian Angel and/or Guides, would it not be possible to WIN BIG enough to get caught up, to be comfortable for the remainder of this life? I wish I was back in the work force. An injury on the job back in 2003 has me now dependent upon the government social security system, which is not my idea of being independently productive in my life. I have used some of the “requests” you have in the book. I feel good about them. The wording is just right for my intentions. Thank you again for your inspired work in the book.

My Guardian Angel Theo has explained to me in my “active meditations” that humans do not have the vocal chords to say angelic names, so we would just be frustrated if we tried. Theo told me they are not big on names on their side, so if you wish, you can say out loud, “Guardian Angel, what name shall I call you,” and then listen for that “whisper in your ear” with a name that will feel comfortable for you to use. It might not be immediate. It could be a couple of days, but suddenly you’ll have a name that works FOR YOU!

Regarding games of chance, Theo told me it was not in my soul contract to become suddenly enormously wealthy—whether it is the lottery or an inheritance, etc. It does seem to work better if you request a MBO to pay off a specific debt or for a specific purpose. In the book I related where I won half of a $8,400 bingo pot on a cruise that paid for our cruise. So I would recommend going for the smaller amounts and then IF your soul contract calls for sudden wealth, you’ll be happily surprised.

BRAKES MBO

Pam in Texas writes: I did a MBO this morning for my car brakes not to be too expensive. I just had to share this with you!

Monday I had to get my brakes fixed on my car and I took it to the oil change place I go to all the time in Hurst and the man that runs/owns it told me I needed new rotors and front pads too. He had to order the parts from Dallas and told me to come back today Wednesday and he would have the work done. I had gone to him over a year ago when the dealer ship said I needed all kind of work done and I ask him to look and give me an est. He did and said that I didn’t need all that work done and I only needed brake pads. Well today he fixed my brakes and put new rotors, redid the front brake pads and labor charge and my bill was Zero, yes 0 it was the best MBO I have ever had!

THE RADIANT EFFECT

This is an excerpt from my first book—THE GENTLE WAY: A Self-Help Guide For Those Who Believe in Angels.

When you request a Benevolent Outcome, you are requesting something specific for yourself. Your friends and family have to request their own Benevolent Outcomes. But I did begin noticing that when I requested a Benevolent Outcome, it also had a benevolent effect on the people surrounding me at the time of the request.

So let’s look closely at what happens when you request MBO’s. Take for example the very first request for a close-in parking place. If you have your friends or family with you, they benefit from you finding a well-located parking space. It could be raining, snowing, or a hot day, or you or another person in your car might have a physical problem that would make a long walk difficult. They all benefit from your request for a Benevolent Outcome.

When you drive to and from work and request a Benevolent Outcome for safely arriving, all those cars around you came under the influence of your MBO request.

And when you are on that subway, train, or bus to and from work, there is a Radiant Effect from your request for a Benevolent Outcome for safely arriving, as the other people in that vehicle will probably arrive safely too.

When you applied for that job, the company that hired you and your co-workers all benefited, creating the Radiant Effect. The company benefited by being coupled with you, since this was a Benevolent Outcome, and your new coworkers benefited by having someone that would be the best for that position and probably the most enjoyable person with whom to work.

When our friends in the high-end painting contracting business requested a Benevolent Outcome for landing a new client, the people that hired them benefited from their expertise and attention to detail. Their workers benefited by having additional work that would keep them busy for several months.

Each time I request a MBO in my business when I am negotiating with a new client, I know that it will also be in their best interests for buying from my company. We’re good and honest people to work with, and have gained a reputation over many years as a trustworthy supplier. My request for a Benevolent Outcome affects them in a positive, Gentle Way.

In an earlier chapter I mentioned the trip my son, his friend and father, and I took to Yellowstone and how I had requested a Benevolent Outcome for being “bumped” on our return flight. We were not bumped, but we were all given first class seats for volunteering. My MBO request had the great Radiant Effect of all of us traveling first class together. It was a great treat for not only them, but also for me experiencing their enjoyment and happiness.

If you have to act as a “whistleblower” to report sexual abuse or misconduct or to report illegal activities where you work, you naturally will request a Most Benevolent Outcome for yourself in reporting these actions. Your angels will take care of you, but the Radiant Effect can extend far beyond. There may be other people suffering as you are, and they will no longer have to bear the pain. They may even have the courage to add their voices. If there are illegal business acts, then you may save hundreds or even thousands of jobs by getting rid of the “bad apples.” Possibly thousands of people who own shares in your company will not lose the money they invested.

If you’re in the military and in a war zone, when you requested that Benevolent Outcome for arriving safely at your destination, at the very least the other people in your vehicle will arrive safely too. But also, perhaps all the other vehicles in the convoy arrive safely, because the bomb that was supposed to go off didn’t for some reason, thereby saving their lives and any civilians that might have been in the blast zone.

When you are on patrol and request a Benevolent Outcome to return safely from your mission, the patrol probably returns with no encounters. You’re safe, but so are all of your buddies that were on the patrol with you. Again, it’s the Radiant Effect. And I should take this one step further and mention that all the people you do encounter and do not encounter also return home safely too, be they civilians or soldiers!

As a civilian living in a war zone, when you requested that Benevolent Outcome for going to work, to school, or even to the grocery store, it has a Radiant Effect on all those that come in contact with you wherever you walk or drive. It may well be your family and friends, but it can also be strangers on the street, or at the market where you shop, the restaurant where you eat, or the nightclub you attend.

If you are incarcerated in prison or are a prison guard, requesting a Benevolent Outcome each day for your safety again affects all those around you. As you move about during the day that Radiant Effect follows you around.

It’s the same for policemen, firemen, and paramedics. Everyone that works with them receives the benefit of their MBO requests for safety. Plus the public they serve benefits too. When they respond to a call, there is always the chance of an accident happening on the way. No accident—no injuries for themselves, their co-workers, and whoever might have been involved in the vehicle crash.

When I was in the casino on the Alaskan cruise and cut the card decks after requesting a Benevolent Outcome, I won a number of games; but so did the rest of the people sitting at my blackjack table. I had a great feeling sitting there knowing that I was a catalyst for their good luck and good cheer!

The guy in the pickup was stopped and ticketed for speeding by the California Highway Patrol, during our drive from Mt. Shasta back to Sacramento for the flight home. That probably was a Radiant effect both for him, as he’ll slow down, and for the other drivers he might have endangered. I know that to be a fact as when our son was stopped for speeding, he drives much more responsibly now.

Even when you ask for a Benevolent Outcome for a taxi, there is a Radiant Effect. Possibly that taxi driver has not had a fare in a few minutes and needs the business. Something tells him to turn down the street you’re waiting on, and he picks up a nice fare, and a safe one too. Both of you benefit from your request.

When a number of us requested sunny skies at the ports in Alaska, hundreds, if not thousands of people were affected by our request. All of the tours could be operated, including those with helicopters and airplanes. It was “positive” income for the tour operators and their staffs. All of the cruise passengers enjoyed the rain-free days, and I’m sure the shops along the docks did exceptional business while we were in port.

EXCERPTS FROM THE GENTLE WAY II: The Story Continues

RECEPTION MBO

Cheri writes: “I really enjoy your newsletter and pass it on to friends. I have been using MBOs sort of on and off since I saw you at Satori in North Richland Hills, Texas, a couple of months ago. I wanted to tell you that my roommate (a dear friend) and I recently had a very powerful demonstration of the effectiveness of MBOs. Her daughter and her husband, originally married in a civil ceremony three years ago, were planning to celebrate their union with a marriage blessing in their church. Our extended family was very excited about the upcoming celebration and had been preparing for some time.

“There was just one problem. Due to a very limited budget and the high cost of renting a space, there were no plans for a reception after the ceremony. The plans, though lovely, felt truncated, and we all longed for a way to bring this special occasion to a more appropriate conclusion. After exploring all conceivable options, we had finally, reluctantly, given up.

“One week to the day before the ceremony, my roommate had a thought (divinely inspired) about a room at her church that might be available for free. Four days and many prayers later, she confirmed that we had the room. That left all of us just three days to put the reception together after work. For every obstacle we met, there were answers. Resources, ideas and people appeared just when we needed them. It took a lot of work and some squeaky-close episodes, but the next Saturday night after a beautiful ceremony, we had a great reception. Almost everyone who attended the wedding was able to be there, even loved friends who were attending another function at the same church and were drawn to our event. Thus, the happy couple got to celebrate their commitment to each other in the company of family and friends.”

I would have advised Cheri to request a benevolent outcome when they had the problem, and very probably the solution to the problem would have presented itself earlier, or perhaps an even better solution. They cocreated the solution through synchronicity. You’ll find this happening more and more as we move farther into the fifth dimension.

POST OFFICE MBO

Laurie writes: “I ask for pretty mundane things, and this one is no different, but the result was still pretty significant, relatively speaking. I dislike going to my main post office branch because the line is usually so long and slow. But this time I was forced to go there because I wanted to rent a PO Box. I asked for an MBO for a short line about a half hour before going to the post office, and lo and behold there were only about six or seven people in line when I got there. Unheard of! That fact was reinforced to me when the next person in line behind me remarked that she’d never seen the line so short! (The Universe was telling me, “See?!”)”

The way this request probably worked was Laurie’s guardian angel contacted other guardian angels whose “clients” would have been in line at that time, so either they would come a few minutes early, or delayed their trip to the post office for a few minutes. Isn’t that neat the way it works?

LAUNDROMAT MBO

Jan writes: “After my ordeal last week at the Laundromat, when the two “ladies” (running the place) refused to turn on the air conditioner, I refused to go back. This week I mentioned going, but not going back to that one, and my daughter said they are opening up a new one closer to you so check that one first.

“I immediately said “I request the most benevolent outcome for the new laundromat being open and having a good experience there. Thank you Angels.”
“I got the clothes ready and messed around a little while, and headed to the new Laundromat. From the parking lot I saw a lady in there doing her laundry. So I got out and went in. YES, they were open. They had been open about 30 minutes when I got there. The owner told me the inspectors had just left and said they could open for business. LOL. Amazing.”

LOST AND FOUND MBO

I took my dogs for their afternoon walk. Normally my wife walks them too, but she was super busy, so I had the two alone. As I rounded a bend a half-block from my house, I looked down and spied a red object on the sidewalk partially hidden by monkey grass (at least that’s the name I know it by). I reached down and picked up a red cell phone that someone had dropped. I didn’t have my reading glasses on, so I couldn’t see the numbers. I wondered how I’d get in touch with the person who had dropped it, and thought perhaps one of my children would find a way. But just to be safe, I requested a benevolent outcome out loud to find the person the cell phone belonged to, and continued on my walk.

A few minutes later the cell phone rang and I answered. It was the owner’s husband. I told him I had it and gave instructions how to find my house. About forty-five minutes later he showed up and explained that his wife dropped it walking their dog. They live only two blocks from us; if she had been searching, it would have been very difficult to see the cell phone in the shadows of the trees and grass.

MOBILE PHONE BENEVOLENT OUTCOME

Kelly writes: “Hi Tom…this one just happened. I was returning from grocery shopping and while driving noticed my cell phone was missing. It wasn’t where I usually put it in the outer pocket of my purse…nor was it in my 2nd likely spot…my coat pocket. I was already a bit stressed from a full work day followed by shopping and knowing I had hungry mouths at home to feed and dreaded the thought of having to retrace my steps.

“Well, I immediately requested an MBO that my cell phone was in the car. As soon as I pulled into the garage, I heard a phone ringing; I immediately thought the angels were letting me know I could relax as the phone was in the car….just a matter of locating it. Sure enough, it was in the trunk. How it got there, I can’t imagine. Besides, I rarely get calls on it. Weeks pass without a single call. It is just used for emergencies. I thought then that maybe my husband had called. No. The caller ID was of an unknown number and area code I wasn’t familiar with. No message, just a missed call. The timing was impeccable. The ring happened literally within 2 minutes of my request. Divine intervention? I sure think so!”

Kelly added: “It seems that I actually experienced a sort of “layering” of MBO’s last evening. Prior to my grocery shopping, I requested an MBO that I’d be able to accomplish all I had planned at the store…finding what I had intended, finding a perfect parking spot, lots of space in the store and quick and moving check out… (no crowds) so that I could get home swiftly and be able to put together dinner in a relaxed manner without time pressures.

“Well, The phone ringing in the car immediately let me know I didn’t have to go back to the store (more time for me). You see, it was in the trunk, but not visible. It was quite dark and under a bag. I wouldn’t have seen it… nor looked in the trunk, of all places, had it not rung. I can just imagine that I would have gone to the store looking and having a fruitless search, not knowing it was in the trunk if it hadn’t rung.

“I believe the angels were working on the MBO I previously requested that I could have a leisure dinner prep time. In fact, it gets better. My 14 year old son approached me at the door and was very up beat saying “I love you mom, repeatedly. More than usual and it seemed to instill a leisure/calm mood in me after such a busy day. In fact, He willingly helped me make dinner! That is an all new occurrence. So all of these situations show how this leisure time request was honored too. I am so grateful!

APPOINTMENT BENEVOLENT OUTCOME

Harry and his wife have the distinction of being the first people to sign up for my newsletter. He’s a masseuse and forgot to write an appointment down so he overbooked and had to change his appointment at a credit union at the last minute. I’ve condensed his story for space.

Harry writes: “So I asked if I could come in the morning — before noon – – at !0:00am. She said that they had a staff meeting at 9:00 and if I could be there by 10:00, it would be fine.

”I went into overdrive – – had to flush my pool filter before I left, take a shower and pack all my massage chair, oils, towels, etc. in my car. I got in the car at 9:20 and as soon as I turned the key on and my gas gauge beeped at me, I realized that I had forgotten to fill up the night before. I quickly asked for a MBO of the events taking place, and headed to the gas station around the corner.

”At the gas station, I scanned my discount card and then scanned my debit card and waited. The screen popped up with a “Problem – – See Attendant” message. I went and called the attendant and he said that the computer was running slowly that morning and that I should re-enter everything. It worked that time, and after filling my car, I hit the road. My clock read 9:29, and I (was running late).

”Out loud I said, “OK guys, I really need an Most Benevolent Outcome with a little time warp to get me to my destination as quickly and safely as possible without breaking any laws. Please keep all traffic lights green so I can get there expeditiously without speeding or breaking any laws!”

”As I passed each of the first 13 GREEN traffic lights, I shouted “Thank You!” Then as I approached the (next) light, it turned red! As I slowed to a stop, I said aloud, “Thank you for letting me catch a breather and drink some water,”

”I continued on through Garland into east Dallas and made every other traffic light — I quit counting – – just kept shouting “Thank You!” I entered the Credit Union parking lot at 9:58! Another rousing “Thank You!!!”

ENGLAND CHRISTMAS TREE MBO

Val from England writes: “Living in an apartment with very little storage we have to be very selective at what we buy. I wanted to decorate the front pillar of our entrance with a Christmas tree. I only wanted to pay £5 because I knew I would have to throw it away after. We looked in several garden centers, but all were over £25. Back in our home town the market was on and lo and behold they had some lovely Christmas trees and guess what–the one I wanted, which was nearly 6ft tall, was just one penny under five pounds! The vender told me they were £40 in the shops and I quite believed him. How blessed I was.”

”Do you know what, since you introduced me to MBO’s I do it automatically and just amazing things come about.”

SON’S CHRISTMAS HOMECOMING MBO

Marie writes: “Dear Tom, I have to thank you, the Angels, and God, for my MBO’s, when I felt all was lost for my Marine son’s visit for Christmas.

”Now I want to say of my MBO, This morning my son was supposed to take a flight from Washington. His flight was cancelled. Hearing there were some people waiting 3 days for a plane had me wondering if we will spend the time with him and thoughts of if he doesn’t come home, he has a good chance of being shipped out!

”My son’s Dad and I started doing searches of the Greyhound bus service, since there was a flight to a hilly area 7 hours away. We found out the road was closed due to snow conditions, so the Greyhound bus was out. My ex was about to leave to drive there and that plane also was cancelled since the airport was snowed in. There was no way for my son to get here till the 26th of Dec., “after Christmas”. This was my chance to have my plans of cooking for my family, when each year I wasn’t sure how much time I’d have with them.

”I decided to seriously ask for an MBO, and as I waited for word I made a wreath, the best I have ever made. Then comes the call, my son is boarding a plane and home in 2 hours. I cried and thanked the angels and that’s also why I am here (many, many thanks Tom).”

NEW YORK BENEVOLENT OUTCOMES

Lyn writes: “What a joy and a blessing you are. It’s New Year’s Morning and I had to write to express my appreciation…and excitement with this wonderful new and gentle approach to life! I always believed that angels were out there…but did I ever think that I could have a relationship with them? Not until a friend gave me the 2 chapters from your website and I started inviting them into my life, did this incredible and easy miraculous living start to unfold.

“My daughter and I were taking a girls’ weekend down to New York City and I read the chapters out loud to her on our drive there. It would take too much space to tell you all the marvelous things that joyously fell into our laps (will mention that we got “bumped” up to the most expensive seats for the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular!!!)

”From that weekend (only 3 weeks ago), I realized that life has a splendid, happy, and simple addition…our guardian angels are there for us!! So many amazing things have happened, but let me tell you the biggest wow! One of my wonderful jobs is that of “Pet Nanny”. I live in people’s homes and care for their beloved pets while they are away. It was the Saturday after Christmas and I was living in a home with a Great Dane and a greyhound, the last day before their family returned; I was also stopping in twice a day to care for two different family’s cats. I was at the second home, feeding cats, when I had that dreaded feeling of the stomach flu bug hitting me like a bolt out of the blue! I was feeling sicker and sicker, and just barely made it back to the dog’s house, crawled up to the bathroom…spare you the details here…and then wondered how the heck I was going to make it through the day with all the animals looking to me for their needs.

“I was going through my list of “who to call…even someone who could at least take the dogs for their afternoon walks, when of course, I realized I needed to request for the MBO! I had just gotten your book a few days earlier, when I also remembered about the condensed time concept. That’s what requested! Tom! It was profound! As I was lying on the bed and dozing off, I felt I was being rocked back & forth, then slowly awoke to feel the nausea go up and out of me. I sat up and felt fine! I thought a few minutes had gone by..it was two hours later. But I was able to walk the dogs, finish cleaning the family’s house, visit the cats again, pack up and head for home. I felt like you feel the day after you’ve had the flu…so, it seems I had the 24-hour bug in 2 hours!

”I have been telling absolutely everyone about The Gentle Way. At the hair salon yesterday…created quite an audience!! I would love to do a little class. I often teach feng shui at a local recreation center and I think offering a small class there based on your book would be such a neat way to share with lots of people. What are your thoughts on having someone like me facilitate a class? Thank you so much for “hooking me up” with my guardian angels! Life will never be the same!”

Lyn recently update me about the results of the class. Lyn writes: “Requesting MBOs helped so much with moving last week. Things went really well, even having the intermittent rain showers cease when we were loading and unloading. Too many to mention!!

”I invited anyone from our recent Guardian Angel class to come to share their experiences. Many wanted to, but it was such a busy weekend with graduations, etc. However, two ladies came…the two who were the most skeptical!

”They went on and on about how many lovely things happened that week. The one who was most critical of the idea, spoke of a lunch she had with a friend who is very negative and unhappy and she always dreaded meeting her. She requested an MBO for it to be pleasant and joyful for both of them, and she said it was the best time they’d ever had…and her friend bought her lunch!”

HOLIDAY SHOPPING MBO

Jean writes: “I had a grocery store MBO, Christmas Eve afternoon. I knew the stores would be crowded with last minute shoppers, but really needed a few items, especially since that is my usual shopping day. Knowing that the lines could be long, I still requested an MBO for a short line. With only 8 items in my cart, I was still about 15 people back from the express check out. While chatting with the woman ahead of me, I noticed a woman waving near the head of the line, and decided to see why. Come to find out, she was trying to signal to her son that they’d opened a second express line, but she couldn’t catch his eye.

“So I told her that I hoped she didn’t mind, but I was going to go through. One woman was having her groceries bagged, the next man in line had three items, and I was next! Instead of a 20 minute or more wait, I was out of the store within five minutes, laughing all the way, as I still had another errand to run and now knew I’d get there before their earlier closing time! Of course I didn’t have far to walk to my car!”

As I have mentioned many times, requesting Benevolent Outcomes makes even the normal mundane tasks easier and less stressful.

MBO FOR CONTACT LENS

Dianne in the UK writes: I have to tell you an amazing MBO which happened to me this week.

Some time ago I had put an MBO around my contact lenses so that I never lose one. I wear the old style hard contacts. Since MBO-ing my lenses I have had had some near misses but none which prove MBOs work more than this one.

In The UK we have had an unprecedented snowfall this week, which has caused chaos. One very early morning, after struggling to the station the train was just pulling in, for which we were extremely grateful for as you can imagine, when the peak of my hat fell down and knocked a lens out And I was standing knee deep in snow!

My daughter thought she spotted it however I was highly dubious as everywhere was glistening like a billion possible contact lens. Anyway she gave this handful of snow to my son in law and we sat on the train while the snow thawed in his hand. Sure enough, nestling in his palm was my contact lens!

I was so grateful and so grateful to you and to MBOs, Tom.

I requested a MBO too for not losing my glasses, as I was constantly forgetting where I left them, and had to return to a restaurant a couple of times to retrieve. So far, so good.

MBO’S FOR CAR AND BOOK

Grace writes:   I wish to tell you about a car I had wanted for sometime. I said a MBO prayer as you stated and visited two days later to the house of my friend. His first words were he was finally going to sell this car. I had been with him when he bought the car…so I did know that only one owner had owned the car, before my friend, and how good the car had been handled.

I had not expected him home. I went there to drop off a card. He was home, and I walked away one day later with the car at my price.

I drove this car for the holiday (Thanksgiving) to Palm Springs to visit my deceased brother’s wife’s family. The brother of my deceased sis-in-law asked about the book. Turns out the brother is best friends with a Ghost writer…one whom has won many awards, very successful and willing to give me pointers on how to catch an agent or publisher’s eye. He has offered to help me, as soon as I get the second book ready. It is being illustrated now.

You are a gem to help so many folks. I thank you so very much for being such a friend to all.

MBO’S AT WORK IN COLLEGE

Marie writes: I’m always saying the MBO’s, especially teaching it to others, more often with my college classmates and students there. Writing down the MBO’s to help them remember. So far the MBO’s have done extremely well on my courses, getting 90`s and 100’s with the few lower scores in reading, averaging 88 in reading. The MBO’s helps my confidence, especially before I took my last (half of my reading final) I received a 96% while two in my class who are doing better than me received a 78% and 85%. I decided to believe in the MBO’s I said.

MBO FOR LOST RING

Richard writes: I really enjoy the newsletters and I have just about finished reading your book which by the way has really opened my eyes about guardian angels.

Yesterday my wife and I were raking leaves at our home and later on that night I noticed that I had lost my wedding band (we got married on October 23rd) we went outside and searched the entire yard and then searched again with a metal detector and the ring was nowhere to be found, my wife and I finally decided to go back into the house and try to look the next day. On the way into the house I remembered to say the MBO request to my guarding angel and when I finished the request I walked on the other side of the yard and reached down and there was my wedding band, and to beat it all it was where we both had gone over with the metal detector. The request really does work if you only believe.

Thanks for your book and making us aware of what is going on around us each day, I could almost hear the wings of my guardian angel going off to deliver my request when I said the prayer.

MBO FOR CHARITY

Carol in Canada writes: Recently I found and ordered your books. I have been practicing you MBO for about 2 weeks. Last Monday I received a call out of the blue from my art dealer. My great-Uncle’s painting of a Tibetan Abbot was sold for $25,000. After deductions for restoration and percentage of the sale I will receive about $16,000. I was actually in shock. I had requested a MBO for some more $ to be able to donate the last $1400 to a charity I support. So that will happen for sure.

I am convinced MBOs work because I asked my guardian angel to tell me his/her name in a dream two night ago and I woke up with the name in my head. I had mispronounced the last syllables but upon reading your book 2 I realized that I had made a mistake e.g. an i instead of e.

THE ORIGIN OF CHRISTMAS

How did December 25th become the day that is celebrated as Jesus’ birthday? The origin of this celebration dates back many centuries to the time when the early Catholic Church was trying to convert large numbers of pagans to Christianity.

Roman pagans at that time celebrated the holiday of Saturnalia from December 17-25 when the pagans would force one person from each community to gorge on food and drink for one week and then sacrifice that person. During this time the Roman courts were closed, so there was widespread intoxication, sex, rape, and people going from house to house singing naked. They also consumed human-shaped biscuits.

In the 4th Century, the Catholic Church was able to convert masses of pagans to Christianity by promising them they could continue their celebration. The church chose December 25th at the end of the celebration as Jesus’ birthday. The singing in the streets was the forerunner of caroling today.

In order to convert more pagans, the Catholic Church allowed the Asheira Cult, which worshiped trees in the forest and brought them into their homes, to continue this practice—thus the origin of the Christmas tree.

The origin of Christmas presents dates all the way back to pre-Christian times during that same Saturnalia celebration where the most despised citizens were forced by the emperor to bring him presents. Later there was general gift giving among the citizens, and so the Catholic Church changed it to the supposed gift giving of St. Nicholas.

Nicholas was a Bishop involved in assembling of the Bible during the Council of Nicaea in 325-327. He was not given sainthood until the 19th Century. A group of sailors moved his bones from Turkey to Bari, Italy where they rid the community of a lady nicknamed Grandmother who filled the stockings of children, and established a cult of Nicholas. They sent each other gifts on December 6, the date of Nicholas’ death. The cult spread north and was adopted by pagans who worshipped Woden. Woden sported a white beard and rode a horse through the heavens. This was changed into riding the horse through the winter heavens with heavy winter clothing. The Catholic Church adopted the Nicholas cult (in order to convert more pagans) and changed the gift giving to December 25th.

In 1809 Washington Irving referred to Saint Nicholas by his Dutch name Santa Claus. In 1822 Dr. Clement Moore wrote the famous “Night Before Christmas” referring to Saint Nicholas.

You have to admit it is really amusing that all of our Christmas traditions and rituals were from pagan celebrations.   And you can also look upon it as tragic, that the early Christians would stoop to incorporate pagan practices in order for their church to grow and PROSPER—as that was the name of the game.

I have read where there are doubters as to Jesus’ actual existence. I would remind you that three of the largest religions of the world, all of which began in Israel, include him in their histories, with three quite divergent opinions of his significance. This man was the Master of Love, whatever else you believe.

MBO STOPPED RAIN

Rita writes: I always read your newsletter with great interest. I do MBOs all the time and the other day I was out walking without an umbrella when it started to rain quite heavily. I immediately did a MBO and the rain stopped immediately. Amazing.

MBO FOR COPIER

Loanne writes: I’ve been reading about your MBO’s since you first mentioned them several years back. My sister has been after me to send my MBO results to you for some time, but I never seemed to get around to it. Anyway, here’s my latest!

Yesterday I said an MBO for our copier at my office–which has been having some voltage problems lately. Our Electrical Shop quoted us several thousand dollars to put in a dedicated line. I stated in my MBO that this be the best outcome for everyone involved (because many people use this copier and several departments are sharing the cost). I mentioned in the MBO that I would like to have an unexpected result…something better than we could imagine. We all KNEW we’d end up paying a lot for this dedicated line. Anyway, the electrical person just informed me that he’s figured a way for their work to come within the quoted price of only $400….we are all thrilled!! In this day of economic stress, it’s so good to hear that something isn’t going to cost an arm and a leg! I’m still thanking my angels for their help!!

And Tom, this is just one of many incidences of good things that have happened since I started using MBOs. Everything just seems to “work out.” I hope you’ll publish this – if for no other reason than to give hope to others who are skeptical about this wonderful process.

MBO FOR CORDIAL TENANTS

Eleanor writes: Some time ago, I moved into a new complex and experienced a great deal of stress as a result of not transitioning well and being impacted by the negativity in my new surroundings. When I shared this with you, you kindly suggested an MBO that I used. And now to share the results!! Here is what you suggested:

“I ask that any and all beings help everyone in this complex to come to love and respect all people of different races and beliefs and that those who don’t move away and are replaced by others who vibrate at a higher level. Thank you.”

Over a rather short time, I began to notice fewer cars in the parking lot and the apparent (but unexpressed stress) of the Manager. Upon checking, I found there were an inordinate number of vacancies. At least a dozen, I think. As of yesterday, when I checked again, I was informed by the office personnel (with great glee) of the fact they had six people today alone coming in to sign new leases.

I simply had to share this with you because it is just one more proof of the authenticity of what you teach – MBO’s DO work. Thank you, Tom.

I gave my book one away, and just received my replacement today. Book one, by the way, ended up in New Hampshire and has “expanded” interest and usage there. Several people there will be getting your book as Christmas gifts. I’m in the process of re-reading it. I rarely do that but I’m finding this as much fun as the first time I read it and it also is refreshing my memory on things I probably have forgotten. Additionally, it is giving me an inventory of where I was and where I am now.

I don’t believe you have used this in your blog before. It’s pretty fantastic, don’t you agree?

EARTH ANGEL

She asked me to change her name so Carole writes: Just read the great blog. You can use this long story if you have space next time. First, I should say that my college-age daughter has always complained I don’t carry enough junk food in the house, specifically Oreos, and that I didn’t put them in her lunches when she was little either! I have been doing general MBO’s and Expect Great Things affirmations daily. I have also been doing MBO’s for a better relationship with her. I also have been doing angel exercises in Doreen Virtue’s book, “Angel Visions.” One chapter in that book mentions stories of people who have visitors from “Earth Angels’-strangers who appear out of nowhere to help with a specific task, then don’t hang around. Most of these angels are said to be very tall. She also has a chapter in another of her books about Archangel Michael about the vacuuming technique. You can visualize this angel attaching a tube at the top of your head to your energy field, turning on the vacuum and taking out any negative energy you may have acquired during the day from others. I had a run-in with a very negative person in the school where I was working as a sub. That night I tried the exercise and was not sure if it did anything or not, but I did an MBO anyway.

The next day, an event happened, and I wish I had been more alert-after 15 minutes I realized the synchronicity and the effects of the MBO! I was busy with a project, and pressed for time. This experience taught me to expect the unexpected, and it could be a great thing!

The doorbell rang and I answered it. There was a young, nice-looking very tall man, smiling, there holding a huge box of Oreos-like the type you would get at Costco-the equivalent of 5 regular boxes. He said “This is for you. I am doing home product demonstrations. I like to give something in return for this since my boss requires I do this for a certain number of people each day.”

I laughed when I saw the box and thanked him. I mentioned to him that my daughter loves them. But since I was alone I didn’t feel comfortable having him come in. I said “Go get your appliance and I will meet you in the hallway. Do you have a business card? I don’t know who you are.”

I got my coat and locked the door while he went to his car. When I got out to the hallway there were 2 huge boxes of a vacuum and a rug shampooer. I looked at his card and it said ‘Chittenden County Kirby”-a name I had never heard of. He also showed me his Vt. driving license. He said his name was Patrick (the name of my neighbor upstairs who looks nothing like him), and that I probably would not have heard of the company since they do not advertise. I said, “You know, I get our rugs shampooed by a friend of mine-he doesn’t charge much, and I already have a vacuum. Good luck, there are 200 people in the development, so you should find somebody. Here, you should take back your Oreos, but thank you so much anyway.” I tried to be as nice as I could, but I didn’t realize then that he was probably an Earth Angel, and if I had, I would have looked back to see where he went afterwards!

P.S. I think it is pretty clear who his “boss” is, don’t you think?

NEW TO MBO’S

Gemma writes on Facebook: Thanks Tom. I ordered the book yesterday from Amazon. And I’ve been browsing your website for the past two days. Now practicing the MBOs. It’s funny, I requested a MBO for getting a good night’s sleep and I saw (spontaneously) in my mind’s eye someone jumping up and throwing their arms up in the air for joy. I had to laugh. I did get a good sleep – 12 hours in fact, and I feel fine.

I know for a fact angels exist (perhaps not with wings and a halo) because I’ve seen them in my dreams twice. So it’s easy for me to have faith that MBOs work. But since I have never communicated with angels in waking life, I’m guessing it’s going to take a while to establish the best way for my GA to communicate with me. I will be requesting assistance with losing weight and getting fit (I need a gym buddy too!), but that will be after Christmas. In the meantime, I have started requesting daily assistance with other things that I need help with in life, as well as doing the daily prayer for helping those I’ve harmed, etc. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. It’s made a huge difference!

MBO’S HAVE CUMULATIVE EFFECT

I don’t normally put the same story in both my newsletter and this blog, but I felt it gives you some interesting information about one of the first uses of requesting Benevolent Outcomes for driving.

Billy in Japan on Facebook writes: I’ve noticed an interesting trend in the Most Benevolent Outcomes I request for smooth driving. I drive on the same very congested routes during rush hour every week. When I first started requesting MBOs, the traffic lightened miraculously and I got to my destinations smoothly. As the weeks went on, each week it seemed to get lighter and lighter. For the past 3 weeks, I’ve been getting through intersections where the rush-hour traffic is normally backed up to almost a standstill for close to 2km with no waiting at all.

My question is, “Do the folks taking care of these MBOs get better and faster when they are asked for the same thing repeatedly (as in smooth driving for my routine driving routes)? My experience with the traffic seems to suggest they do, but is it only a coincidence?

I call my Guardian Angel Theo, as he says that humans can’t pronounce angelic names because our vocal chords are not made to be able to do this. I consult him in mediation, so I asked about Billy’s question.

Theo, when you constantly request MBO’s for your driving, is there a cumulative effect, or is it just that you become used to traveling at a tuned in time shall we say?

Good question Tom. Yes, there is a cumulative effect, as you do start tuning in when you should depart—the exact instant I might add, and of course the other drivers pick up on their own Guardian Angels whispering in their ear as to when to depart on their journey. But it is more on the individual who requests the MBO’s as to them tuning in better as their own GA’s are whispering in their ears as to the best time to depart. So there is a give and flow that goes beyond the normal request for a MBO that is requested each time. A simple saying would be, “The more you use it the easier it gets.” That applies not only to remembering to request MBO’s but the continued use of them.

My two children use it; they are nine and four years of age. I don’t worry as much as I used to. I notice when I start to get fearful thoughts, and I make a conscious choice to stop, and MBO’s/BP’s help a lot. Thank You, Tom.

UK TRIP MBO’S

Chrissy from Brisbane writes: My husband and I returned recently from spending 6 weeks in England visiting family and sight-seeing. We arrived the first week of October and on the way over there from Australia, I did MBO’s for a safe flight, getting through the security check and customs and for a safe landing.

When we arrived, there were not many people in front of us for the passport check and then we went through customs because we had bought some liquorish for a friend and they waved us through. The car rental people did not take very long to pick us up – compared to our last visit 2 years ago and before I started using MBO’s. On the previous visit, we waited for over half an hour to be picked up and this time only about 10 minutes.

I did MBO’s most days for lovely weather or for sunshine, but did forget some days, when it rained. We had brilliant weather all through October and November and although the air was crisp, we had sunshine for a lot of the time. Sometimes it was for a few hours and other days, we had beautiful blue skies and sunshine. People kept saying how unusual it was to have sunshine so late in the year. I just think it is not what you know but who you know. So thank you to the Angels for helping us through.

MBO’S FOR SCRATCH-OFF TICKETS

Deb writes: Happy Thanksgiving a day late!!! I have a story that I wish you would put in the Sedona Journal. It would make my son’s day. I have a 31-year old son with Asperger’s Syndrome. He lives at home with his dad and me and is able to work. He is a great kid (Will always be a kid to me) My therapist is also Jesse’s life coach; his name is Rick.

We all do the MBO’s. Jesse likes to do the scratch-off lottery tickets and before he scratches them off, he always says, “I am asking for a benevolent outcome of cash. Thank you.” Sometimes he wins really big and sometimes he loses, but he just loves to play them. He never forgets to do his MBO. I thought you would enjoy that. Jesse is a sheer delight–as I always say, I wouldn’t take anything for him, but then on some days I would give him to you. He keeps me busy!!

Just a reminder folks that requesting MBO’s to win the lottery will not work if it’s not in your soul contract for sudden wealth. Jesse probably does OK because the amounts are not huge on scratch-offs. In my book I mentioned a lady who worked at the drug store near where I used to live that seemed to consistently win—not the big million dollar ones, but smaller in the thousands. She was just “tuned in” to the numbers it seems.

MBO’S FOR DRIVING & WINDOW WASH

Sue writes: I plan on purchasing your first book. I don’t want to miss anything. Just from reading your newsletter, I thought I would give it a try with MBO’s and BO’s. I started out simple – like a smooth drive into the city. Well, I got green lights “all the way through town”!! Parking spaces show up!

I even went so far as to request a BO that my lower back wouldn’t hurt so I could get the walls and windows washed. I had a spasm so I moved into a MBO. To my ultimate surprise I have to tell you my lower back DID NOT HURT one I-O-DA!! What I didn’t consider though was “muscle ache”. I laughed for two days over it. Every muscle hurt, but by golly I had absolutely no back pain!! I am thrilled!

This is fun to personally experience in a “game likeness” fun with my Angel. I just love it. Thank you Tom over and over again. Barnes and Noble in the valley has your book. Next run into the city I’ll be getting it. Blessings, Hugs and Fun to Tom.

MBO’S FOR FAMILY AND SLEEP

I found this posting on Extreme Mind by Skyhigh: I’d like to share with all readers of this thread more experiences in using Most Benevolent Outcomes (MBOs):

A female cousin of mine wanted to forcibly occupy the second floor of our two-story house and another vacant house of the estate in the same area, presenting a legal document, a deed of sale signed by her mother which she claims entitles her to also use the property along with 4 other legal heirs. The 5 heirs already had an earlier meeting on how to operate the 2 houses, but my cousin who already had a longtime squabble with her sisters over property sharing on her father’s side, wanted to complicate matters and would file a lawsuit against her sisters if needed.

I recited an MBO 5 times daily for three days: “I request a Most Benevolent Outcome that (name of the person) do not use the second floor of our house for her personal gain and may this outcome be even better than I can hope for or expect.” On the third day, the sisters had a meeting and my cousin had a peaceful settlement with the administrator regarding her planned use of the two houses of the estate which she did not pursue, thus, relieving all concerned of legal troubles, costs and hassles.

I also used an MBO daily for my mother’s sporadic dizziness, which gives her a lot of trouble whenever it occurs. This has worsened for a year now and I recited: “I ask that any and all beings assist my mother in curing her dizziness permanently”. After 5 days, there was a marked improvement in her condition, no longer ingesting costly tablets at least twice a day. To my relief, she only takes a tablet sometimes and there are days she no longer takes them.

The quality of my sleep has also improved since I used an MBO for sleeping easily at night.

My own Guardian Angel (GA) Theo says you only have to request a MBO once, but if it makes you feel better you can request multiple times.

MBO FOR CHOKING

And Pleiadian Healer responded to the above post: Yes, I agree the MBO’s are amazing! Thanksgiving day I plan to give Tom’s first book “The Gentle Way” to a friend, so she can get in on all the fun, she also has a little 2 year old, so using this method will do wonders for both of them!

Lately I’ve been using MBO’s for just about anything that comes up that troubles me, in the slightest way. Just the other day I was eating a bagel and started to choke, but only just a little bit. It was more of an annoying choking sensation, not really bad, and I tried everything to stop it, finally in desperation, I stopped and started to think what else I could do… finally I remembered to ask for a MBO to stop choking and within 5 seconds it stopped…lol… I started to laugh out loud it worked so well.

Now this is a really small thing, but dang, that choking was super annoying… and to see it just stop within seconds of doing an MBO was just so great. I even used it again for choking about a week or so later, and the same thing happened, in just a few seconds my choking stopped seemingly all by itself… even though I knew my guardian angel stopped it, I could not tell HOW it stopped it since it was such a smooth transition. It almost seemed like magic!

I use MBO’s everyday, several times a day now. I never go without them and use them from the smallest things to the biggest. Even just walking into a store to buy some simple thing, if you do an MBO before you actually get in the store, all sorts of cool things happen.

You even mentioned using them before bed to get a good night’s sleep, I’ve been doing that a while now too, and when I forget to ask for any MBO before sleep I wake up feeling kind of so-so and not so great, which is normal for me, but when I remember to say an MBO like “I now request the most benevolent outcome for a good night’s sleep and to wake up in the morning refreshed and rejuvinated… thank you”, I wake up feeling so great it’s amazing.

Thanks again for all your great reports Skyhigh, I’m sure others will enjoy constantly seeing how you benefit from all this!

I am doing something a little different with this Blog. As this is the Holiday Season with lots of family reunions, I thought it timely to present an article that has been published in many regional and even international magazines. The title, as you saw above is:

ANGELS & THE HOLIDAYS

The months of November and December are generally viewed as great months of parties, dinners with friends, and reunions with families. But it can be a highly stressful time when you’re in charge of the dinner, or you have to travel, or you and your family are worlds apart in lifestyles and/or beliefs.

I’m going to give you some tips and suggestions to make this time period much less stressful and a lot more pleasurable. About twelve years ago, in reading spiritual articles and books, I kept noticing the word “benevolent” used in stories about angels and their relationship to us. As this is not a commonly used word in the English language, it was quite noticeable to me. One day I read a suggestion to request benevolent outcomes for events in your life. I decided to try it out, and was amazed how PERFECTLY it worked for everything, from small requests such as a parking spot next to a busy restaurant or a seat on the subway to the really important situations in my business and personal life. After having made these requests between 10,000 and 15,000 times over the years, I am firmly convinced that our Guardian Angels are there to assist us in living more gentle lives. We just have to ask.

So how do you request Benevolent Outcomes from your Guardian Angel? If you are cooking for your friends or family, consider saying, “I request a Most Benevolent Outcome that the food I prepare will be perfect for my group, and that our time spent together will be enjoyable, thank you!” Always thank your Guardian Angel, and the more emotion you can put into these requests the better.

These requests need to be said out loud or in writing and must be for something that is specifically for you. Certainly you can change the wording to fit the circumstances, but remember that the requests have to be benevolent for not only you, but also all those involved in the request, as even if you request something that is not benevolent for others in error or on purpose they will not work. This is your best friend you are talking to, so be assured that you can speak directly to them and in these simple terms. You can never “use up” your requests. Webster’s dictionary defines Benevolent as “A kindly disposition to promote happiness and prosperity through good works, or by generosity in and pleasure of doing good works.” Doesn’t that sound like what we would imagine our Guardian Angel would do if given a chance?

If you must travel during the holidays, there are a variety of requests you can make. You can request Benevolent Outcomes:

That you remember to pack everything for the trip;
That the drive to the airport or to the place you are going to be safe and free of traffic;
That the check in at the airport be fast;
That your luggage will arrive safely and on time;
That you speed through the Security Line with no delays;
That your plane and any connections you make be on time;
That (if you are traveling alone) you sit next to someone interesting, or, if you need to sleep, next to someone who will not want to talk;
That your friends or family are there on time and easy to find;
That if you are taking part in any sport during your holiday, from touch football, to skiing, to scuba diving, you remain safe from injury.

As examples I request Most Benevolent Outcomes (MBO’s as I call them) for everything. While packing for a trip, I’ll say, “I request a Most Benevolent Outcome for remembering everything I need to take on my trip. Thank you.” When it comes time to go to the airport, I request a Benevolent Outcome for the drive to the airport in safety and with no delays. How many people have you heard about that have missed a flight because of a traffic jam or wreck on the freeway?

At the airport, I’ll say, “I request a Most Benevolent Outcome that my bags arrive safely and on time. Thank you.” Don’t forget to say “thank you” to your Guardian Angel. David in St. Louis emailed to tell me he requested a Benevolent Outcome for making it through the Security check line with no problems (nothing can slow you down more than being “randomly” chosen for a full search). There were two lines, one that traversed back and forth and the other for flight personnel. Just as the person ahead of him was directed into the maze, the gatekeeper closed off that path and let David be the first person to pass through the fast-path route through security. As he said, “that was cool!”

David also mentioned that he likes to request MBO’s for meeting interesting people on the plane. I tried that out on a business trip back from Washington DC, and after a gentleman offered to trade seats with a young lady sitting next to me so she could sit with her friend, he turned out to be a buyer that I had not seen at the book market. I was able to give him some information, which will result in a sale. That’s how Benevolent Outcomes work. It is so much fun to see how your Guardian Angel makes these things happen!

My wife and I went to a conference in Mt. Shasta, California—a really beautiful place. On our way back to the Sacramento Airport, I requested a MBO for a safe and problem free drive. On the car radio, there was a news bulletin that the California Highway Patrol was getting tough on Interstate 5 and would be ticketing anyone barely over the speed limit. As we were driving along, I had passed several slower moving cars when an oversized pickup came up behind me. I decided to let him pass, although there was still another car to pass ahead of me. As he passed, I started to move out again to pass the car when suddenly out of the bushes in the median roared a CHIP’s patrol car with lights blinking. I jumped back in line and watched as the pulled over the pickup. That could have been me. I have found over time that after requesting a MBO for a drive, the highway patrol cars are either turning off, going the other direction, or have just pulled someone over as I pass by.

One time I rented a car in Nice, France for the 20-minute drive to Cannes on a freeway. Naturally I requested a MBO for the drive. A few minutes into the drive a small car passed by me at a speed of approximately 90 miles an hour. About 100 yards up the road, he tried to weave in and out of traffic, lost control, spun out and bounced off the guardrail ending up straddled across two of the three lanes of traffic. Had I been five seconds earlier, I would have been in danger of being involved. I was able to slow down and creep by the car on the far right lane.

Jean from Ontario, Canada emailed to tell me she was in Seattle on vacation. She was exploring the city via their “excellent” bus service. She asked for a Benevolent Outcome for her ride downtown. As the driver approached his stop in front of the Seattle Center, home of the Space Needle, a parcel delivery truck suddenly stopped in front of him. The bus driver had been looking at the bus stop to see if any passengers were waiting. “Something” told him to look ahead, and he did, bringing the bus safely to a stop within inches of the truck. No one was injured, and Jean was able to joke with the driver about all the paper work he had just avoided!

Perhaps you wish to share a taxi with someone to cut down on costs. The Milan, Italy airport is a long drive outside the city, so I checked with the hotel concierge to see if there was anyone else that had ordered a taxi for the very early drive to the airport. He had no one scheduled at 5:00 am in the morning, so I requested a MBO for someone to share my taxi. The next morning when I checked out of the hotel there were no people in sight, so I was resigned to paying for an expensive taxi, when in walked five or six doctors from the Mayo Clinic who had been in Milan for a cancer conference. They had hired a mini-bus to take them to the airport and invited me to join them, at no charge!

You can request a Benevolent Outcome that your visit with your family or acquaintances be cordial and pleasant. Just say, “I ask that during the time I am at (name the location) that my experience be delightful. Thank you. This may seem like you’re asking a lot in some instances, but REQUEST THE IMPOSSIBLE!

Under this category comes family members or people you know will be at the party or reunion with which you have had a difficult time. The reasons could include alcoholism, drug use, or you have had a difficult relationship with them in the past. I suggest saying something like, “I ask that any and all beings come to the assistance of (name) so that they remain sober and pleasant during the time I’m there, and that they receive assistance in overcoming their problem.” This is a “Living Prayer” that you can say for other people. Change the wording to fit your circumstances. Or you can say, “I request a Most Benevolent Outcome for having a pleasant relationship with (name) during the time I am with them.” Again, change the wording to fit your particular circumstances.

If you are worried about you and/or your children’s safety while in the presence of someone whom you know to be physically, mentally, or sexually abusive, then say, “I ask that my safety and that the safety of my children be guaranteed now and in the future in a way that is Benevolent to us all.” This can also be said if you are currently in a relationship where you are fearful for the same reasons.

If your job involves working during the Holiday period, then you can request Benevolent Outcomes that you will be safe at work each day, that your commissions will be higher than you hope for or expect, and that your time at work be pleasant with your fellow employees and customers. As an example say, “I request a Most Benevolent Outcome that my commissions be higher than I can expect or hope for. Thank you.” Don’t limit yourself to asking for a specific amount. You might be asking for too low an amount! That also goes for requesting a Benevolent Outcome for your annual Bonus. If you must work to late at night, request a Benevolent Outcome for your walk to your car or bus or train stop.

There is what I call the “Radiant Effect” when you make these requests. Many of these requests will be benevolent for all of those around you, such as when you travel. Other people are affected by your request for safety in driving or flying. If there are people in your car or on the bus, train, or airplane, they will travel in safety too. When you request a Benevolent Outcome or say a Living Prayer for a pleasant time with someone who has caused everyone problems it has a Radiant Effect. When you request Benevolent Outcomes for yourself, it also affects others who are present at the dinner, party, or reunion with you. It makes for a much more pleasant time for everyone! These simple requests can lower your stress and make your family’s holiday much more congenial and joyful!
