MBO FOR SAFETY AT NIGHT

Laurie writes from Florida: Every night before I go to sleep, I request an MBO to be surrounded by a big bubble of white light, and to be safe and protected. That “normal” MBO might have saved my life.

At around 4 a.m. on 8/17/26 I was awakened by a huge BOOOOM!. I thought it was a massive thunderclap. (I live in SouthFlorida, so things like that can happen in the middle of the night.) I got up, turned on the lights and walked around my home looking for whatever had caused the sound. Nothing. I looked at the online weather radar. No thunderstorms at all. Something in the back of my mind told me to “turn on the porch light” but I didn’t. I wish I had heeded that prompt. (I would have seen what had happened!)

The next morning, in the light of the day, I saw what had happened overnight. A tree had collapsed and fallen on my roof directly over my bedroom. That was the BOOM. But the tree did not break through the roof or into my home. I was asleep in my bed directly where the tree fell onto the roof.

I could have been killed. The tree could have gone through the roof, into my bedroom, and smacked me dead. It did not. I’m still alive.

MBO FOR RELIEF FROM ALLERGIES

Carrie writes: Had not had problems with allergies for about 5 years after taking raw organic local honey (2 tablespoons a day x 2 months). So I was unprepared when a bad allergy day happened. Luckily it was my day off and I went straight to bed after saying an MBO for them to be better. When I woke up I am all good now. Hoping not to have to take the honey again since I’m on keto but will if I have to.🍯

MBO TO FIND MISPLACED READING GLASSES

Dena has been complaining the past several days that she had misplaced her black rimmed reading glasses. We both requested Most Benevolent Outcomes for her to find them. I was positive that she would find them and told her so—just knew!

Yesterday she was sitting at her computer and was moving some things around. Under the computer screen, hidden by a tissue, were her missing glasses.

I do recommend to everyone who wears spectacles that you say an MBO to never lose your glasses again. It has worked for me!

MBO FOR SERVICE ON GAS STOVE

Linda in Halfmoon NY writes: Hope you and your family are well. I always say a Benevolent Prayer when getting appliances serviced. In this case a gas stove I asked that service results in perfectly working stove at no added cost. Well the service was done and tech asked me if I wanted pilot and gas left on? I first said no then changed my mind and said yes. He went to turn pilot on and the assembly broke but said the company would cover the replacement cost. That is terrific because if it broke when we turned it on it would have been another cost to me. Love BPs!

BP FOR FRIEND’S GLASSES REPAIR

Carrie writes: My friend told me her 70 pound dog sat on her glasses today and she thought she would have to buy a whole new pair. I asked for an MBO for her glasses repair. She texted me less than an hour later that they fixed them at the eye doctor’s office and for no charge! Double win.

MBOs & BPs FOR TRIP TO ASSIST FRIEND

I’m having to condense this story due to length, although it is quite interesting. Maria in Estonia flew to a small island off the coast of Estonia named Hiiumaa, where her mother grew up for their “Home Cafe Days” celebration. She went at the invitation of a friend who was in a panic, because she was supposed to have a home cafe for two days.

Maria writes: Before the trip, I had severe nerve inflammation in my back. I could not even bend properly or sit comfortably, and I had completely forgotten about it when I promised to fly there. It was probably very good that I had no clue what I was flying into.

The night before I flew to the island, our small global WhatsApp MBO/BP group said a BP for me – for the trip to be safe and smooth, for my back to get better and stay better and for the home cafe days to be lovely, fun, and even better than we could hope for or expect. I also said several MBOs and BPs myself on the site later. And then things started to move.

First I calmed my friend down, cleaned her tiny kitchen, and together with another friend of hers, planned the menu – including nettle soup. Nettles are commonly regarded as stinging weeds, but in Estonia we also use young leaves for food. The soup tastes a bit like spinach soup, but I also added potatoes, carrots, boiled egg, celery stem, parsley, dill, and some chicken broth I had never made it before, and now I was making it for an unknown number of people.

The trip was awesome. I somehow ended up helping to manage a home cafe for two days, serving around 200 people.

This was not just any home cafe either. It was the same house where these Home Cafe Days tradition started decades ago, before it spread all over Estonia. My childhood friend and her mother, who was a well-known poet, once lived in that house, and now my friend is developing it as a center dedicated to her memory.

The hostess of the house – my childhood friend’s- was depressed at first and having a meltdown: poor as a church mouse, a single mother, a fired actress, etc. she had publicly promised to open a home cafe, but when I arrived, she had almost nothing planned yet.

We had only two hours before the last local supermarket closed (all shops were closed already), and we had to figure out what to buy and in what amounts, without knowing how many people would come. We got transport, cake donations, and freshly smoked fish donations, which were already arranged (but we didn’t know to expect them). Then we cooked, served, sold the food, washed all the dishes manually, and somehow made it work.

On the second day, our Prime Minister happened to stop by with his family and friends before the busiest time of the day – and ate my first ever nettle soup. Some people said it was a hit, and one person even asked whether I was a professional chef. Of course I am! 😎🤣 ChatGPT was my friend (but it was me who added ingredients and tuned the amounts).

So with this spontaneous trip to the island, I got one person out of her “hole”, helped several dreams come true, and experienced a huge success – including all the learning on the go, under quite a bit of stress.

The funny comparison is that “my kin’s cafe” had 30 people in the team, while we had 3. They had started preparations a year ago, while we started the night before, and they ran a one-day cafe, while we ran a two-day cafe. And still, everything worked out much better than I could have hoped for or expected! Whew! Thanks to all the “good” people in the world who care and say BPs for others. Believing in kindness, and in what could be possible, is the important part.

MBOs & BPs FOR DENTAL SURGERY

I was scheduled for dental surgery on August 6 to have two screws implanted in my lower jaw in preparation for two crowns in several months after healing. I was going to be the first patient to have this done at my dentist’s office by an associate dentist hired because he specializes in doing nothing but dental implants with years of experience. I also negotiated a discount from my dentist.

Needless to say I was requesting MBOs and BPs even weeks in advance. I said a Most Benevolent Outcome for the surgery to be perfect, and for my recovery to be faster than I can hope for or expect.

On August 6, I requested an MBO for the drive to my dentist’s office. Since it was an 8 am appointment, I planned to leave a little early, due to morning traffic, but we left slightly late. Still, we arrived eight minutes early and found a parking space four spaces from the front door. We took the elevator to the second floor and arrived before the end of their morning meeting.

Just before the procedure, I said a Benevolent Prayer that the dental surgeon and staff would perform their work PERFECTLY! They gave me a pill to take that supposedly you won’t remember anything the next day, but that was not exactly the case for me. Dr. Kim, my surgeon was being assisted by Alexander, who had set up the whole room and all the expensive equipment ($150,000) who was on loan from the company who sold my dentist the equipment. He was extremely knowledgeable, having also assisted in these procedures for years. They also hooked me up to the “laughing gas” (nitrous oxide). After a while Dr. Kim numbed my gums and did the procedure, which I will spare you from reading.

After it was over, they brought a wheel chair to wheel me to the car. I requested an MBO for the drive home. Dena drove us home and I slept for perhaps three hours. Dr. Kim called the first night to check on me, even though it was his 16th Anniversary. Nice gentle soul. I’m still in recovery mode. Had to take some Motrin and use an ice pack on my cheek. Had Cream of Chicken soup for two lunches. I am able to eat soft foods now.

BP FOR NECK SURGERY

Ellen wrote: Can we please say out load “Asking any and all beings who can aid, assist, and send healing energy to Meghan S. during her upcoming neck surgery on Tuesday. May the doctors nurses and all medical staff involved in her care be divinely guided to do whatever is necessary for a most benevolent outcome with the most effective, compassionate treatment for a swift and complete recovery without complications. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

UPDATE: My niece is out of surgery and in recovery for the herniated disc surgery. She is doing better than expected! If she continues to do well overnight, she will be discharged home tomorrow. Amazing! Thank you to everyone for all the BP’s said on her behalf. Again, the results were wonderful!

MBO FOR ANNIVERSARY DINNER

Saturday, August 1st was our wedding anniversary, and in recent years we have gone to a really nice restaurant in Plano called Capital Grill. We’ve been going there long enough to remember the waiter’s names. When Dena checked when making the reservation, the first waiter (or server if you wish) had been promoted to take over running a Capital Grill in Houston. The second two were both quite good.

Before we left, I requested a Most Benevolent Outcome for the drive there, as I always recall the intersection nearby when I almost broadsided a woman whose car was lifted 180 degrees off the ground and landed right in front of me. I told that story last week. When we arrived the valet was there immediately to take the car.

Dena and I had also requested an MBO for the service to be excellent along with the food, and that they still served the complementary champagne toast and complementary desert. Robert was our waiter and his service was absolutely perfect. We ordered the tenderloin with two small lobsters and lobster bisque. Way too much for us to eat, so we had the tenderloins boxed to take home—enough for two more dinners! The table they put us at was the same as the last two years—away from the busier side of the restaurant. There was a couple celebrating their 18th anniversary in front of us. Behind was a couple celebrating their 8th, and on the next row over were couples on their 50th and 42nd, respectively. Robert said, “Love is in the air tonight!”

What we’ve done the last two or three years is just to choose cards we’ve saved from previous years, but Dena was running behind so she just grabbed two for each of us. What turned out to be a big laugh was that one of the cards was for Father’s Day and another was Happy Birthday! We still enjoyed them!

When we got up to leave, I wished the couple in front of us “Happy Anniversary,” and proceeded to the front door for the valet service. But I forgot the two sacks! While waiting for the car, Robert came outside with the two sacks. Naturally I requested an MBO for the drive home. Really was as perfect an evening as we’ve experienced for our anniversary!

MBO FOR NOT GETTING IN TROUBLE AT WORK

Carrie writes: Had a good one at work yesterday. I had a little mishap at work with my attitude/smart mouth (oops!) I made a stupid comment and upset one of the new staff who immediately went to report me and get her work assignment changed. I was worried about getting in trouble plus having to work with her in the future. I requested an MBO…and did not get in trouble, was told I would be working with another new staff member the next day and to try not to say anything smart, lol. Later, when I had to go ask her for help, she was very pleasant and willing to help me. So it seems all will be well after getting off to a rocky start.

MBO FOR AN EASY FIX OF THE REFRIGERATOR

Lee writes from New Jersey: Good day Tom! My husband woke up to a wet kitchen floor. It seems the freeze quit overnight and all the ice cubes and food thawed. I said an MBO that the fix would be easy and not too much out of pocket expense. The refrigerator is over 22 years old! Thankfully he is handy and after checking it out thought it might be the relay switch, which is what it turned out to be. Great news! Lol. Quite a bit of meat to cook up and freeze again. Had the oven, stove top, air fryer and grill all going! I love a happy ending! Thank you Tom for MBOs and BPs. Life is so much easier.
