\u00a0MBO TO FIX CAR HEADREST<\/span><\/h3>\n

Kathy writes:\u00a0<\/span> Well, I have another car MBO for you.<\/span> I recently bought a newer used <\/span>
\ntruck and while I love the truck, I didn’t love the headrest. It was at an odd angle that pushed my head forward and when I drove for any length of time my neck, shoulders, and upper back would begin hurting. It was getting worse and finally I decided to do something <\/span>about fixing the headrest. I began researching solutions online and discovered they involved purchasing new headrests or having the existing ones altered, all of which cost hundreds of dollars. Finally I remembered to ask for a Most Benevolent Outcome that I could find a solution to fixing my headrests that was quick, easy, and inexpensive. <\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Afterwards I decided to go to a machine shop to see how much it would cost to change the angle of the posts on the headrest. I drove into town but couldn’t find the machine shop at its old location and didn’t know where it had been moved. So I turned around and was driving out of town, when I was inspired to stop in at the local auto body shop. A couple of guys came out to see the problem and one said, “They’re adjustable, you know.” I was stunned! He showed me how to push the headrest forward and let it spring back to <\/span>the angle that was perfect! <\/span><\/h3>\n

He wouldn’t let me pay him, other than accepting my very grateful thanks. Quick, easy, and inexpensive! Thank you GA\u2019s… and thank you Tom for bringing this wonderful method to us all.<\/span><\/h3>\n

MBO TO NEVER LOSE AN EARRING AGAIN<\/span><\/h3>\n

Daralyn writes:\u00a0<\/span> I have a story which will sound extraordinary (I can hardly believe it myself) but I swear it’s true! Last week, my husband and I flew to California where he planned to attend a professional meeting. I wear earrings every day, and prefer the style with hooks as they are easier to get in, but have the disadvantage of being easy to dislodge if\u00a0 I merely touch my ear. That evening, as I was preparing for bed, I discovered that I was missing one earring. I assumed it had fallen out in the plane, and gave up ever seeing it again. But I was so mad at having lost a nice gemstone earring that I requested an MBO for never losing an earring again!<\/span><\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>
\nThe next day as I was doing my morning preparations, I noticed that there were two earrings, not one, on the bathroom sink. I asked my husband where the second one had come from, and he said, “I found it in my pocket!” It is totally beyond me how Spirit could drop an earring into the pocket of a man who not only was seated, so the pocket opening would be squeezed shut, but also had the seatbelt buckle fastened over it! Nevertheless, it was undeniably there, and it had not gotten lost, as per MBO.<\/span> Thank you. Spirit!<\/span><\/h3>\n

MBO TO FIND MATCHING TILE<\/span><\/h3>\n

Kathy writes:<\/span>\u00a0 One of my sons installed a new vanity cabinet in my bathroom.\u00a0 It was 2 inches shorter than the old cabinet with left a gap in the tile. Since our home is over 20 years old we were afraid we might not be able to match the tile and after 3 days of hunting in every store plus Amazon with no luck my husband thought we would have to retile the entire bathroom. \u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

I said a MBO and the thought came to me to check the ReStore down the road.<\/span>\u00a0 If you are not familiar with ReStore, it receives donations of building supplies, old furniture, etc and sells them very reasonably and the money goes to Habitat for Humanity.\u00a0 Almost unbelievably, THEY HAD A MATCH!\u00a0 But even more amazing is that they only had tile in 2 colors and the other color was a larger size tile.<\/span><\/h3>\n

MBO FOR TRIP DURING NOR-EASTER<\/span><\/h3>\n

Lee writes:<\/span>\u00a0 Tom, we are driving up the East Coast right in the middle of the nor\u2019easter! I said MBOs for good weather even knowing what was predicted and even though we have had rain, some heavy at times, we have not experienced any of the real heavy rains, heavy winds or possible flooding that the have been talking about.<\/span> So far, safe travels.<\/span><\/h3>\n
